2008 White Rocks Race
Sailors:
The rescheduled White Rocks is set for Saturday, September 6th. The skippers meeting will be at 10:30AM with the race starting at approximately noon. The form of an R/C boat has yet to materialize but I have my feelers out. If you know of a boat that would be available please contact me ASAP. I will be posting the flier at the city and private marina's and based on feedback we will determine if we will sail one-design or open class. Due to length and exposure of the race, dinghies are not recommended, but certainly will be allowed. As with all open water competitions, competitors are entirely responsible for their own safety, whether afloat or ashore, and nothing reduces this responsibility. It is for competitors to decide whether their boat and its helm and crew are fit to sail in the conditions that they might find. By launching or going to sea competitors confirm their boat is fit for those conditions and that they are competent to sail and compete in them.
Sorry for the short notice on the rescheduling. Please contact Michael Sauer with your intention to race. The fee will be $15.00 for MYC Members, and $20.00 for non-members.
