MJYC Sailing School

Introduction

The Marquette Junior Yacht Club Sailing School is a fantastic sailing program.  Since the beginning, the main objective has been to create an environment that fosters a life-long love and interest of sailing through its fun, safe, and instructional environment.

Every effort will be made to accommodate all applicants.  To facilitate this goal, we are offering two different class times to choose from, as well as five different weeks to attend.  For children ages 8-18, morning classes will occur from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM, or you may opt for the afternoon class, which runs from 2:00 PM until 4:45 PM.  Adult sailing classes will be offered from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Classes are offered in one-week sessions.  Session 1 will be the only exception to that rule.  As a special 3-day course July 29, 30, & 31, Session 1 will be offered at a discounted price of $75.  Session 2 will run from August 3-7, Session 3 from August 10-14, Session 4 from August 17-21, and Session 5 during the week of August 24-28.  Four classes are assured during a 5-day session with one day reserved for bad weather but, if skies are blue on all 5 days, students will receive 5 days of instruction.
