 Post subject: Wednesday July 2nd Race

What a great night of racing ! After a postponement while the freighter docked and the wind calmed down a bit the committee did a great job of getting a race off and all 12 boats finished in a time span of less than 10 minutes. Great close racing. Great Fleet !

I can honestly say that was one of the most exciting finishes and final beats I have had. Amazing Blue, Tiburon, and Aldebaran were all covering each other on tacks and it was any one's game. Then out of nowhere Zonker came in like a freight train. In the ensuing crash tack Zonker squeaked out Tiburon for a place. Wow and we only escaped by a horn!!!!

Thank you to the committee for having the patience and insight to start the race after the freighter came through
