Agenda

Group approved sailing calendar.  Details to follow on Sailing instructions.  Practice race will be May 26 and the first race of the first season will be the following week on June 2nd.

Group approved the treasurer’s report.  The fleet has a positive balance and may continue to look for a new RC boat.

2010 Dues were presented and approved the fee schedule is as follows:

$150 Ensign Fleet
$25 National Dues
$175 MYC Full Member
Total $350 to be eligible to race

Full payment will be expected prior to first race with risk of races being forfeited

Approved Sailing instructions as modified to reflect rule changes, namely:

1.6 New requirement for all sails to have matching hull numbers.  (It was advised by Neil Lynch for those without matching sail numbers to contact North sails and request the proper numbers)
15.3 new section on DNF races by those unable to complete within the time requirements

Those present signed up for RC dinners, those not present will be able to review the dates and choose one or two for the season.

Use of Race Committee boat and dockage.  It was agreed to continue to use the Aquasport as long as it still works.  With the possible opening of one slip on the floating docs it was motioned to work with the yacht club to pay for a slip.  This would be convenient for the RC as well as continue to support the MYC.  Zeb proposed allocating 500 dollars from the budget to be ear marked for repair s and maintenance of the RC boat, motion passed.

RC shall be used only for ensign related events with exceptions to include White rocks race or those races with granted approval from fleet captain.

Regionals.  It was decided that we should divide the labor and responsibilities by creating Committees who can focus on specific tasks required for the regionals preparation and execution.

Committees include:
Race Committee - Chair: Neil Lynch, Members: ?
Registration Committee - Chair: ?
Social Committee - Chair: ?
Launch/Retrieval - Chair: David Manson, Members: ?
Finance and Budget - Chair: David Manson, Members: ?
Awards - Chair: ?, Members: ?

Chip in, help out and volunteer to make this a success before your nominated and selected!

Neil Lynch brought up a proposal for the Ensign fleet in concert with the MYC sponsor a Bug sailboat for the junior yacht club.  Proposal was tabled but very well received.
